What does Senior Improv Games mean?
We teach interested improvisation game leaders to earn an EXTRA stream of income by using their specialized improv game leadership skills in a VERY large industry – senior living communities.
Whether you just want to learn how to adapt improv games for seniors with whom you already work OR you want to build a small business delivering senior improv games to multiple senior communities – this is the place to begin!
So- who am I and what do I offer you?
Here is my related experience & training:
- I have managed a large senior home companion program for the frail elderly in metro Detroit;
- I have a Masters degree in Adult Instruction and Performance Improvement.
- I’ve spent over 20 years in the improv theater community as a performer and improv games leader.
- I also happen to qualify as an older adult!
I started my business – Vintage Improvisation Detroit – in 2019.
I realized that the senior age group was missing out on the fun! I began offering improv game programs to senior living communities because:
- I love older adults,
- I love improv games and
- Nobody else in the improv community – that I knew of – was serving this community!
In 2021 – while attending Camp Improv Utopia-East – I learned that other improvisers have an interest in doing what I do but they felt ill-equipped to work with older adults. So, I offered my first virtual workshop – The 8 Secrets to Elder-friendly Improv Games: Adapt, Guide & Get Paid! It was designed to help improvisers LIKE YOU to adapt improv games you ALREADY know and deliver a safe & well-planned improv games experience to older adults.
